Product Questions
I follow Slimming World® how many Syns® are in your products? Previously our products were classed as Syn Free®/ Free Food® on the Slimming World® plan. However, we since Slimming World stopped certifying butchers products we are no longer able to classify products as Syn Free®. For more information click on the Slimming World Tab and follow the guidance on the page. Or simply click on the link to the Slimming World® Website and use the on-line Syn Calculator and the Nutritionals provided.
I follow the Weight Watchers® Plan, how many ProPoints® are there in your products? To check the WW ProPoints® values of our products simply click on the Weight Watcher™ tab and take a look at the Nutritional Information provided. As a guide, Joe’s Sausages, burgers, grill sticks and marinated meats all start at just 2 WW ProPoints®.
How much fat is there in your products? Joe’s products contain no more than 3% fat. The nutritional information for all of our products is available from the Nutritional tab.

Can Joe’s products be cooked from Frozen? We recommend that you always cook our products from Fresh. It is always best to defrost your products to defrost in the fridge overnight.
What is the Shelf Life of Joe’s products? Our products are made fresh every day and most have shelf life of 9 days from date of manufacture; you will usually receive products with a shelf life of about 6-7 days. You should always check the individual product labels. All products are delivered to you fresh NOT frozen.
Can I freeze my products? Yes, all products can be frozen however we recommend that you consume them within 6 months of freezing and you should always refer to the manufacturer’s freezing guidelines on your appliance.
What is the meat content of your products? All of our products have a very high meat. Our sausages grill sticks and burgers have a minimum meat content of 72%. Beef Burgers conatin 80% beef.
Are Joe's products suitable for Coeliac’s? No, Joe's products are not suitable for those who are intolerant to wheat.
Delivery Questions
What days do you deliver? We deliver on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday ONLY. We are unable to deliver on Monday as Parcel Force (and other couriers) do not make collections on Sunday. You may place your order and pick your preferred delivery day up to one week in advance. For example: orders received before midnight on Monday are eligible for delivery on Wednesday.
How will my order be delivered? Your order will be sent to you by Parcel Force. Your order will be delivered in polystyrene boxes with sufficient ice packs to keep your products fresh for up to 48 hours. If you have provided ‘special delivery instructions’ Parcel Force will endeavour to follow them or they will leave your parcel in a suitable ‘safe place’ and leave a calling card.
How do I get in touch with Parcel Force to track my order? Parcel Force will send you a tracking document once they have collected your order from us. If you wish to track the progress of your order or you are experiencing a delay please contact Parcel Force Customer Service: 0844 8 00 44 666 and quote the tracking number from your Parcel Force email (please remember to check your Junk Mail folder). If you do not get a satisfactory response from Parcel Force then please email Joe@joessausages.co.uk and we will look into your query.
Why is it only a preferred Delivery Date? We can only provide you with a ‘preferred delivery’ date for your order. In the vast majority of cases, orders will be delivered to you on your 'preferred delivery date'; it is very rare that your order will be delayed, however it does occasionally happen. Your order will remain fresh for up to 48 hours. Orders are despatched daily (Monday – Thursday). It is your responsibility to check if your location has an extended delivery time.
What happens if my Delivery is delayed? When your parcel has been dispatched you will receive an email from Parcel Force, please click on the tracking link sent in that email to track the progress of your parcel. If you do not live in a restricted area and your order has not been delivered by 1pm then please contact Parcel Force and quote your tracking number.
Will someone have to sign for the delivery? No, you are NOT required to sign for your delivery. Please ensure that you specify any special delivery instructions in the box before you proceed to checkout, if you do not specify any special delivery instructions your parcel will be left in a ‘safe’ place (somewhere the driver feels is appropriately safe). If you are worried that you will not be in to receive your order then please choose a different delivery address. If you are concerned that there is not a safe place then please give a delivery address where someone will be in to accept the delivery.
It is a condition of purchase that you accept our delivery terms and you are accepting liability if the parcel goes missing after being left in a safe place that you have specified or it has been left in a safe place by the driver in the absence of suitable instructions from you; we will not be able to compensate you for this loss.
Packages will NOT under any circumstances be taken back to the depot as the products are FRESH, drivers are instructed to ‘leave package safe' and to leave a calling card.
Can I specify a time for delivery? We pay for a premium service which means that your order will be delivered to you between 8am and Midday. However Parcel Force cannot give you a more specific time slot. If you would like to track the progress of your order please follow the link on your tracking email sent to you by Parcel Force. Simply go to the Parcel Force website www.parcelforce.com and insert your tracking details.
What kind of information should I put in the Special Delivery Instructions? This is your chance to identify where you would like your delivery left if you are not going to be in, for example:
If out leave at back door If out leave in garden shed If out leave in garage If out leave in porch If out leave with neighbour If out leave by wheelie bin Knock loudly bell not working Please allow time to get to door and knock loudly
Will Parcel Force leave me a calling card? Parcel Force will leave you calling card clearly stating where your package has been left if you are not in to receive it. It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide a safe location for your order to be left if you are not going to be in.
Please be sensible about where you would like your products left in you are not going to be in:

During the warmer months please be sensible about requesting your fresh products to be left in greenhouses as temperatures can reach in excess of 40°c.

Please be cautious about leaving garages unlocked (for obvious reasons).

Please be aware when asking for your delivery to be left in/near a recycle bin/wheelie bin, you need to make sure your delivery is not going to be collected when your recycling is collected or your bins are emptied!

The boxes your products are delivered in are quite large (30cm x 30cm x 40cm), requests to leave ‘behind a plant pot’ may still mean that the delivery is in plain sight.

Requests to ‘put over the gate’ may not be possible. In these circumstances Parcel Force will leave your parcel in an alternative safe place or with a neighbour. A card will be left indicating where your order has been left.
Can I have my order delivered to a neighbour if I am going to be out? Yes you may provide us with special delivery instructions if you are going to be out. Please note that a neighbours’ house is classified as a house within a couple of doors either side of yours or opposite, it is not an alternative address a few streets away!
If there is a particular neighbour that you do not want us to leave your delivery with please be specific for example: ‘If out leave with neighbour at NoXX but NOT with NoXX’.
Can I have my products delivered to my work address? Yes, we can deliver to your work address, simply go to Joe’s website www.joessausages.co.uk and log into your account and amend your delivery address details BEFORE you place your order. If you need to change the address once your order has been confirmed you will need to email us at joe@joessausages.co.uk and provide us with your name and order number and we will endeavour to change your details before your order is dispatched.
What happens if I am not home when my order is delivered? Parcel Force will leave your delivery ‘in a safe place’ and leave you a calling card, telling you where your goods have been left’. Please read and accept our terms and conditions before placing your order.
Will my products still be fresh even if they are delayed? If your order is delayed for any reason, please ACCEPT your order and do the following test: Open the outer box and remove the polystyrene lid, place the back of your hand on the top layer of products - if they are cool to the touch they will under most circumstances still be fresh. If you are unsure please get in contact with us by emailing joe@joessausages.co.uk as soon as possible. DO NOT refuse your order until you have carried out this check as we will be unable to refund you for products that are refused. Please see our full terms and conditions.
Do you deliver to the whole of the UK? We are unable to deliver to Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and certain parts of the Scottish Isles or highlands.
How do I check if I live in a restricted delivery postcode? click here to see if you live in a restricted postcode area. The Scottish Isles and Highlands are NOT considered mainland Britain by Parcel Force. Minimum order is 10 packs in restricted postcode areas. It is your responsibility to check if you live in a restricted delivery area. Last posting day for restricted areas is Wednesday.
Do I need to advise you that I live in a 2 day delivery area? Yes, you need to send us an email to joe@joessausages.co.uk advising us that you have placed an order and that you live in a 2 day delivery area. If you do not advise us then your order WILL in all likelihood be delivered to you one day late.
Making Contact
I want to contact you about placing an order Email is the preferred way of contacting us joe@joessausages.co.uk as we currently do not have permanent office support. We do check our emails regularly Monday to Thursday with limited access on Friday. All queries received after midday on Friday will be dealt with Monday morning. If you are chasing a parcel please try tracking it through Parcel Force using the tracking number provided, if Parcel Force cannot help you then please email us joe@joessausages.co.uk and we will get back to you.
Payment
Is your site secure? All Credit Card data transmitted between you and our site is protected using strong SSL encryption technology, and we do not store or retain your payment details. Your payment is made through PayPal account or using a credit or debit card on PayPal payment portal. We do not have access to your credit or debit card details.
My payment will not go through If you are having difficulties making a payment, do not worry we will endeavour to make contact with you on the next working day and will take payment from you over the phone.
I have received multiple order confirmations but only require one order what should I do? If you press the ‘click here to pay’ button several times, we will capture several orders. If we receive multiple orders (for the same products) but only receive one payment we will only send you one order (even if you have received multiple order confirmations). Duplicate unpaid for orders will be deleted from the database unless you advise us otherwise.
I do not have a PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account to shop with us. Simply click the’ go to check out’ button and you will be taken to the PayPal secure payment page.
Click on the ‘Don’t have a PayPal Account' to pay by credit card, you will be able to pay by using a credit or debit card: Simply click on the ‘continue’ button just above the Visa and Mastercard symbols on the left hand side of the PayPal portal.
      
My delivery address is different to my PayPal address. We only deliver to the address that you specify to us on your Joe’s Log in, NOT the address you provide to PayPal. If you are unsure of the address you have provided, please go to our website www.joessausages.co.uk and log in to your account and review your last order, you may also update or change your details here.
Adverse Weather Conditions
Snow If you are experiencing a lot of snow in your area it is very possible that Parcel Force may be unable to deliver to your chosen location on your preferred delivery day. Your products will stay fresh for at least 48 hours if they are sent but delivery is delayed.
If you are unable to commute to and from your usual location it is also possible that Parcel Force will not be able to deliver your order to your required location on your preferred delivery day. Please only order if you feel that your delivery address will be accessible during periods of adverse weather or you risk your delivery being delayed. By placing your order you accept our terms and conditions.
You MUST check the tracking document sent to you by Parcel Force. Please contact us by email on joe@joessausages.co.uk if your parcel is delayed by more than one day.
