Terms & Conditions

Privacy, security, confidentiality and great customer service are important to Joe’s.  The following terms and conditions endeavour to make our web site a safe, easy and enjoyable place to shop.

By using this web site you agree to the following terms and conditions:

General

Your contract is with The Real Cooked Meats Company Ltd (Trading as Joe’s) of: Unit 12 Kensington Park Industrial Estate, Hall Street, Southport, PR9 0NY.

A contract is formed between The Real Cooked Meats Company Ltd and yourself when we dispatch the goods you have ordered. Until the goods are dispatched the order may be cancelled at anytime.

You agree that e-mail will be used as the standard means of communication.  If your order is accepted, we will send you an e-mail confirming your order and your acceptance of our terms conditions.

Joe’s do not store credit card information. We do not sell our customer's details and we will not share your email address or telephone number with any third party (with the exception of our couriers’ Parcel Force).

When you create an account we will sign you up to our e-newsletters, but you can unsubscribe from these at any time by clicking the link in the email.

You undertake that all details which you provide to us for the purpose of ordering goods are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the order.

Your statutory rights are not affected but otherwise all purchases are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and non-transferable.

Delivery Instructions

All of our parcels are No Signature Required (NSR).  You must either be at your specified delivery address to take receipt of your parcel or you must provide special delivery instructions.  If you are not in, your parcel will be ‘left in a safe place’ and you will receive a card with details of where your parcel has been left.

By specifying a place that you would like the courier to leave the parcel without a signature - you are accepting liability if the parcel goes missing after being left in the place you have specified (or somewhere the courier deems as safe), and we will not be able compensate you for this.  If you are concerned that there is not a safe place then please provide a delivery address where someone will be in to accept the delivery.  You must not refuse your delivery.

If you provide us with an incorrect address, or you fail to collect your goods from a specified location and they spoil, we will be unable to compensate you.

If you live in a flat, and you are not available to take your delivery, we will not accept responsibility for parcels left in a safe place. Please arrange for your order to be delivered where someone is going to be there to accept it.

Parcel Force Disclaimer: What does 'No Signature Required' mean?  We use this method of delivery because our goods have a time limit for freshness and it would be impractical for parcels to be taken back to the Depot if no one is available to take delivery.  Parcel Force's NSR clause does however mean that even if Parcel Force deliver your goods to the wrong address they WILL NOT COMPENSATE YOU OR US, under any circumstances, even if a Parcel Force member of staff informs you otherwise.  When speaking with Parcel Force you must insist on immediate action to recover your parcel if it has been delivered to a wrong address. You must contact us joe@joessausages.co.uk before 3pm on the due delivery day so that we can assist in the tracking of your parcel.

Delivery

Our postage and packing charge for orders under £35 is £6.  Orders over £65 attract FREE delivery.

Delivery is only available to customers within mainland UK ONLY.  We do not deliver to The Isle of Man and Northern Ireland.  If you live in a restricted delivery area, the website will, when you place your order advise you that your order may take longer to get to you.  Wednesday is the last day for dispatch for restricted area delivery.  

If your goods have not arrived by 1pm on your preferred delivery day, YOU MUST contact us by email at joe@joessausages.co.uk and inform us that your parcel is late.  We will endeavour to track it for you.  Failure to advise us on the day your parcel was due to be delivered means that we cannot be held liable for the failed delivery and you will not be compensated for the loss of your goods.  We will always endeavour to help track your parcel but the courier must have chance to track it and rectify any delivery mistakes.

Failed deliveries

By placing your order on a preferred delivery day, you accept that your order may under exceptional circumstances not arrive on the agreed day; it is rare that your order will be delayed, however it does occasionally happen.  You must accept delivery of your goods. Your order will remain fresh for up to 48 hours.  Under no circumstances will you be compensated if your order is not delivered on your ‘preferred delivery day’.

If an item is held at the Post Office awaiting collection and it is not subsequently collected, or if a delivery is refused and then returned to us we will NOT be liable for a refund, even if a member of Parcel Force tells you otherwise.

In the unlikely event that there is a 'picking error' missed items will not be replaced but will be refunded at face value less any discount received. 

You are responsible for entering your correct address including postcode when you set up your account.  Joe's cannot be held responsible for your order being delivered to a wrong address due to a wrong postcode or incorrect address being supplied by you, to us.

If you have requested a refund, this will be processed within 2 working days from the date of agreement. 

Damaged packaging

If you receive goods that have been damaged during transit, you must send photographs of any broken packaging with an accompanying email stating the issues (this must be done on the day you receive your goods).  Do not throw the goods away.  If you fail to email us and subsequently throw the goods away you may not be compensated. If we deem the packaging to have deteriorated the quality of the meat/ meat products, we reserve the right to provide you with a voucher code that may be spent on the website or where applicable refund you, this is at our absolute discretion.

Promotional Codes

From time to time we will offer you the chance to use a promotional code on the website.  This code must be used between the dates specified and only one voucher code may be used on any one order.  The voucher code must be used before you check out and we unable to add the code to your order once you have placed your order.  We reserve the right to amend, change and cancel a promotion without notice.

Website

Whilst we may every effort to ensure that our website is free from errors, sometimes they do occur.  The images on the website are meant as a guide and are meant for illustration purposes only.  All images and wording on this site is subject to copy right and may not under any circumstances be copied without express prior consent.

First Timer/Taster Box Sets

The First Timer Box sets, are just that, a box set specifically for NEW customers.  If your email address or address have been previously registered with Joe's then you will not be eligible for the First Timer Box, you may not use voucher codes on these items and you may only purchase ONE First Timer Box Set.  Joe's reserves the right, in it's absolute discretion, to determine your First Timer Box eligibility'.   

Refer and Reward Loyalty Scheme

To be eligible for our Refer and Reward scheme you must have placed at least 1 order in the last 12 months.  By sharing your code with your friends you will begin to accrue reward credits when your friends register on our site using your unique code.   There is no cash alternative to the reward vouchers. You may only receive one free pack of chicken fillets per address.  You cannot use voucher codes with the first timer boxes.  If you order a first timer box, you will not be eligible for the welcome reward chicken fillets.  You may only use one email address per household.  Reward points are gifted to you at our absolute discretion and may be removed from your account if it is found that you are in breach of our terms and conditions. We may withdraw the scheme without notice and any rewards will be forfiet.

Accounts are non transferable

Your account is non transferable and cannot be sold or traded.

Our Guarantee

This is in addition to your statutory rights.

Law

Every purchase you make shall be deemed performed in England. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed, construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Additional

These terms and conditions contain the entire agreement between you and Joe’s relating to your purchase.  You are responsible for reading all information in these terms and conditions fully.  If any of these terms are held to be invalid or unenforceable, those terms will be struck out and the other terms remain.

Variations

We may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. All purchases from the date of posting onwards will be governed by that new version.

Liability

Joe’s Sausages attempts to ensure that the information available on the website at any one time is true and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will be error-free.  Joe’s does not make any warranty that the website is free from infection by viruses, trojans, worms or anything else that may have destructive properties.

This Liability section applies only to the extent permitted by law.
